Alfresco dining


I'm indebted to Kerry from Australia who spotted what looks like one of the hospital dishes that seems to have made it into the wild. This particular deposit comes courtesy of an emu. I hope no one tells the food factory that supplies so many of our hospitals.

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuUUUUU (heave, retch)

    I can just see the NHS caterers' Board of Management scurrying out with shovels and buckets, alive to the culinary possibilities of emu droppings and any other waste products that might by lying about the countryside.

    Will they have enough peas to go with it though. That's the question.

    I feel quite sick, suddenly.

    So it's part of the Keep Australia Beautiful campaign... they send the unemployed out to work for the dole, and make them shovel up emu droppings to bag and send to the UK for NHS meals.

    Now it all makes sense LOL

    I thought some green stuff you had the other day looked like Koala vomit. Did it smell like Eucalyptus leaves?

  7. This is obviously chocolate sponge with greenish custard and this is what it REALLY looks like away from hospital lighting.

  9. I particularly love the fine-dining throw of fresh herb garnish. Presentation is so important. Just needs to be au jus and we're there.

  10. TM, if your food comes from a factory in Wales you are more likely to be dining on sheep droppings. Be very wary of black bean soup and puddings containing currants.
