  1. Happy Birthday TM. May the rest of your birthdays be much nicer. At least you can drink as much as you like and not fall over.
PS: Blurring your eyes makes you totally unidentifiable ha ha

    Happy 7th?? birthday, TM!!

It's good to see you smiling after all the pain you have been suffering.
I'm pleased to see Mrs TM has visited again with more goodies.
BTW what is the shiny yellow thing on the right of the breadcrumbed cardboard?

Enjoy the rest of the day.

  4. Have as happy a day as you can TM....and remember that next year's big day won't be spent surrounded by grim ol' NHS crap.

Luckily Mrs TM was there to ensure you were at least fed and watered on your birthday.

    Enjoy.....and continue to get well!!!

  7. Happy 7th Birthday!

(The chicken - I'd go for roadkill, but whatever it is, I'm sure Hugh Fearnley-Whatshisname wouldn't approve!)

So glad you had cake and champers! A fabulous combo to make you feel better about life!
Fingers crossed next year will be much better.

The thing on your plate, I vote roadkill!

  9. The carrots look good and the dessert is at least "100% natural". Champagne to wash it all down—that's always good!
Glad you had a decent day! Happy Birthday!

  10. Happy Birthday TM, the cake looks gorgeous and how did you manage to get away with lighting up in a hospital?

Here's hoping that next year you and Mrs TM can celebrate in real style.. xx

  11. When I first saw the infamous Sunday chicken, I thought, will today's be, pink or white, it was white, then I came across the Muller thingy in the pot, and thought jeez not much of a birthday lunch, then I carried on scrawling down.

Drooled at the plump olives, delighted to see your wife with a chocolate birthday cake, laughed and laughed, at the expression on your face TM, it certainly was happy after a few glasses of buck's fizz, love that happy look on the face after bubbly.

A very Happy Birthday to you.

PS, hope you are keeping the chicken whatever it is for supper.

  17. Hi TM!! A full array of blessings for you on your birthday's evening - the meat balls and other greek stuff look delicious!! I guess you have eaten them up including the tiniest morsel. I'm happy for you that you were allowed a birthday cake - so you are 6 (times x) years old now, and the life candle in the middle has a different coulour - and a bright one at that - so hopefully you'll get out of hospital soon!!
    Best wishes from Styria. Barbara

  18. I've always written rants since my days as a newspaper columnist. I like to write something in between the pictures of the food otherwise it would get too boring. Tell me if you like the rants or would you prefer not to read them?

Glad you had a fantastic day and a biiiiig choccy cake and looooads of olives and hummus and champers. And how absolutely fab to see you looking so happy and relaxed - must have made a good change to feel so chilled.

Am sitting here watching James Bond for the simple reason that it's mindless fun and James Bond has always been a bit tasty. Off to see your last post of the day. :-)
