The Recovery Position

Whisky is clearly helping me to recover by recharging his own batteries. Tough life being a cat!

  1. He's gorgeous! Hope you're as comfortable. Do you notice a difference with the change in leg length?

  2. My balance is better with the reduction in leg length difference. It now means I can wear ordinary shoes with just an insole fitted inside the shoe for the shorter leg.

  3. You'll have to be careful with the insole though. I have them in the shoes for both feet. Even though they only vary in thickness from ¼ to ¾ of an inch, at times I can be like one of those catwalk models on platform soles. Some young tyro in a hurry pushes past and I'm teetering. Icy pavements can be difficult. In 2008 a wheel on my suitcase didn't spin as freely as it should, the suitcase didn't follow me smoothly and I fell backwards down a Zurich airport escalator. The only damage was to my pride and my reading glasses case. The locals seemed to be thinking "Hey-Ho, another drunk Englishman".
    Take care,

  6. Lucky you! My little Persian was trying to get under the covers this morning. Nothing to do with it being cold, of course...

  7. Cat thoughts

‘A purring cat is a form of high praise, like a top score in an examination.
It is reinforcement of something that we would all like to believe about ourselves – that we are nice’

Hi XTM. Going OK I hope.

Another great shot of the Head of the Household.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

    Chris.

  10. With company like that how can you fail to rest and recuperate? He looks fabulous.

I hope the antibiotics don't play too much havoc with your system. Probiotics will help with those!

Smoked salmon. YUM. I do prefer the hot smoked stuff I must admit. My daughter practically weaned on that! Allergic to lots of things but not smoked salmon!

    Good luck with the recovery.

  12. Lovely cat. Sorry to hear you have been testing hospital food again. Hope things are on the mend soon. Will desist from tidying you off my bookmarks until I know you can stand on your own two feet without tripping over the cat.

  13. Cats always know when you need TLC. Mine does and the other two, whom we had to say goodbye to earlier this year, knew this as well.

Hug to Whisky and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
