Hi TM! I guess this vegetable cheese cooked in an individual dish looks nicer than the slop, and if you tell us that it actually tastes better as well - I do not think that there can be a huge difference as to the ingredients, at least not in the way of being a justification for the oftentimes quite poor and sloppy slop state of the average slop we've seen on your blog. It can't really cost so much more to cook it properly, can it?? Same goes for the fresh salad, I cannot remember any salad within the regular NHS slop menus, only with the panini. Well, it's a mystery to me why they think it worthwhile omitting it. Best wishes, TM! Barbara
Presentation is heaps better with the PP menu than with the cheap slop menu - but then again the PP menu isn't as runny and gloopy. Mmm - am loving all the cheese you're getting now - am guessing it's mature-ish cheddar, not artificial processed?
Difficult to eat when you're in pain. Takes your appetite away, doesn't it - if not making you feel sick.
Just take your time and don't feel you have to type anything unless you're up to it. We can cavort around and support you and play the giddy goat(s) for your delectation and delight, that being the only thing we can do. If there's anything else we can do, just holler.
It's the difference between "a sauce with a couple of bits of veg with formless mash" and "a load of well-cooked veg in sauce and crispy potatoes" isn't it? A simple thing, but makes all the difference.
yum yum and extra yum!!! How i miss cauliflower cheese, OH doesn't like it :-( who strangly enough has said he would eat all the meals i've shown him on your blog! There is hope for my cooking yet!
Hope you are feeling much better and actully manged to eat it as well as photograph it. Much love Tia xXx
