Thank goodness you have to endure NHS catering for only 2 more days. The thought of eating what you fancy when you want it (and at the correct temperature)must make you dizzy with anticipation. Roll on Friday.
At least the meaty bit of the chop looks like meat. I can't say it looks appetising though or healthy. The potato looks so dried up too. You must be so sick of peas. I see pudding's blowing bubbles again. I hope you had some alternative nosh.
I've only just caught up - busy yesterday, sorry. Home????????? Really home??????? what, home, home or some NHS version of home??? I bet you're thrilled.
That chop looks totally inedible and the FAT! YUCK!
I went out for lunch today to a pub restaurant. Very yummy!!!!
Your turn will come TM and SOON! YAY! Congrats on the potential leaving date. That is great. You must be doing really well. I can only imagine how happy you and Mrs XTM will be when you are home. I can imagine many a happy hour spent in the kitchen creating some lovely, tasty treats for you.
I am so pleased you are going to keep blogging. I would miss the updates on your recovery.
That sausage that appeared a couple of days ago reminded me of the planet-eating 'Doomsday Machine' that starred in an eponymous episode of Star Trek, first broadcast in October 1967.
Home? What have I missed! I swear I've read all your posts but perhaps I've not rinsed my glasses sufficiently.
Fantastic news, then. Home on Friday to wonderful food, your wonderfully loving wife and one thwarted cat, though I expect the cat will be thrilled to see you again and will no doubt explain that he was just keeping the pillow warm and being company for your wife. Cats'll say anything to get off the hook ...
Wooohooo, congrats ET on maybe being allowed home on Friday, I have everything crossed, is making it interesting to type with crossed eyes, arms, fingers, legs, toes......
Once you are home you can photograph Mrs ET's cooking and we can all sit here and salivate, imagining the immense pleasure you are getting from every mouthful :)Could even be better than sex ;)
TM i only ticked interesting and disgusting because that bacon chop is just not funny xx
ReplyDeletethe bacon chop looks raw - yuck

ReplyDeleteI had a few squares of chocolate left and some nuts. Now I've run out. I hope tonight's food is edible.
ReplyDeleteTwo more sleeps to go ..............!
ReplyDeleteOh, forgot, you still have the problem of sorting out where Whiskas Cat has been sleeping during your absence. There is much work to do at home!
Happy Hump Day!

As for tonight's meal, good luck!
Did you have a bite then spit it out?! It looks like you did and if so I'm laughing out loud!
ReplyDeleteThat fat didn't go in my mouth. I do have standards, you know!

NOT LONG NOW!!!
Bacon chop? I'm Australian of Italian parentage - what on earth is a bacon chop?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Matilde - Queensland here - wtf is a bacon chop? Is that to make up for the lack of bacon & eggs over the past months? Blech....
