Sorry but I am pretty sure that something was in fact murdered on that plate - maybe a really big caterpillar, or a small lost Martian? Been following you from Aussie - good to see you back on your feet :)
Wow is that real fish, why hasn't it been processed into a nice semi-oblong shape before being served to you, that one slipped through the net on the way to the factory.
@The Nurse - I always thought that mushy peas were vile, and then I went to a restaurant in Wiltshire and had homemade mushy peas. I'm a convert - they were great. They did have mint in them and they were not squidged out of all recognition but were recognisably peas. Sorry, TM, I didn't mean to make you envious.
Oh what a wonderful dinner, is this plaice, chips and mushy peas, did it taste as lovely as it looks TM.
I love mushy peas, not something as a Scot I was familiar with, living in England changed that, I love them, don't do them in Southern Ireland, first thing I got when over in Brighton, fish, chips and mushy peas, gorgeous.
Now that fish looks good, the chips look real... but the mushy pees look ill...and belive me I love my mushy peas... with fish and chips or pie or by themselves... with loads and loads of a good malt vinegar... home made they'r even better... unfortunatly those on your plate look as if they were rehydrated...YUK. Glad your at least someway to getting back on your feet...wont be long now... hope you've booked a good resautant for your release.
You are wrong - brussel sprouts are spawn of the devil ....... not only do they look and tast vile, they make the whole house stink whilst cooking and afterwards (if you get my meaning)!
Sarah's right except, oddly, the sprouts served here are quite palatable in a perverse kind of way. I have defitnitely got Stockholm Syndrome, haven't I?
I also like sprouts. The mushy peas look vile. I'm from scotland. I think mushy peas are more an English thing. The fish looks fine though. Hope you're not too sore today. Are you getting up a bit?
There's always a choice of fish on Fridays. Last time I tried it the fish was made of discarded Tesco Economy fish fingers that tasted as if they'd been spat out by toddlers. It was then covered in a crispy crumb that was about as crispy as a wet roll of Andrex.
Mushy peas are awesome!!

You can tell the mushy peas are out of a tin, the colour is wrong , and tinned mushy peas are vile tasting.
