I'm a Glasgwegian. You have tainted our reputation here. We would definitely not only get through one a day. This is an advent calendar for lightweights ;-)
I can assure you that the Aussie advent calendar would include a LOT more beer (that lot wouldn't last past breakfast mate),and would be accompanied by a stubbie hold that says Kalgoorlie, a Bonds singlet and a pair of stubbies shorts (both navy blue of course), a Webber Barbie Mate along with a dozen snags and a bottle of tomato sauce.
Perfect lead in to xmas day. We are expecting a searing 38C here in Perth today - better get out that Advent calendar and put it to good use
