Update

Just a quick note to say the doctors have decided to operate on me again to put a plate and pins in my leg. Hopefully this will get me walking again and lengthen my leg a little. It's progress but it does mean going back to hospital... not for very long, I hope!

Thanks for all your concern and best wishes.

TM

  1. Good luck - I don't think the traditional Theatre luvvie phrase quite appropriate.

  6. Hope the operation goes well and this hospital stay doesn't have any dramas! Also, don't be afraid to ask the nurses and doctors if they've washed their hands before they examine you, it's how bugs get around (unwashed hands, I mean) and there are posters all over the hospitals in Sydney telling patients that it's ok to ask medical staff if they've washed their hands.

  7. Dear ETM

With all best wishes from Cats' Mother and the Chelsea Gang - sending you good luck from my three black monsters.

I think that the timing is right for this - there has been a lack of progress for far too long which is unhhelpful to say the least!

Love and luck - Cats' Mother x

  8. XTM, I really hope the operation is a success and improves your recovery.

On the plus side, does this mean we get to play food bingo again?

Take care XTM and I really hope your stay in hospital is short and uneventful.

  15. Good Luck, As Pam says give your location and I can post a weekly delivery of Manx Kippers, that's only if you like them of course, break fast in your hospital would never be the same again, but then if your not partial they could also be used as bribes.
Would you mind if I posted you on a very large prayer circle that covers most of Europe, it's non denominational.

  17. All the best, TM. I hope this visit is a bit less traumatising than the last, and that the op succeeds.

    Definitely take that camera!
