Sorry for the recent silence. I'm progressing well but have been feeling so tired. I'm trying to do a bit more and to mobilise a little further and it's really hard work, hence my inability to blog. I'll try hard to get back to it as soon as I can.
Glad to hear you're ok, I was getting worried. Hope you don't mind my suggesting it but a multivitamin/mineral might help with the energy. At least you're eating decent food now. Good luck. DW
Thanks for the report. The most important thing is your progress and so it's good to hear that things, although tiring, are heading in the right direction for you.
Our whinges pale into insignificance. Like, It's cold!!! ( 3c ) this morning or blast! I've got a puncture. Or most of all, four days into the Federal election campaign: Not another four weeks of this. Oh pleeeese!
Keep on keeping on XTM, best wishes from down here, Chris and Co in Melbourne.
Glad you are focussing on your recovery XTM. So good to know you are not suffering hospital food again!
Meantime, my offspring has been having to endure NHS food again. He assured me that the chicken curry and the ham and cheese pasta were actually very nice. Although, we were both concerned at the orange juice which said in big letters 'For NHS use only'!!! LOL!
Just a quick note to say that the Consumers' Association are asking their members for information about hospital food (including photos!) in recent hospital visits. I saw this in my mother's Which? and I immediately thought of you.
Typical man. I went to Brighton overnight to visit my youngest daughter and have been wiped out by the effort ever since. I thought I was much stronger than I actually am. Recovering at home with an infection and an inflamed leg :-( THe saga continues.
Ouch! Hope that leg feels better quick smart. Mentioning Brighton got the tongues into high rev mode over here. An Elderly (now) reli used to tell us about going dancing somewhere on or near the pier at Brighton during the war. The last time I was in the UK a few years back we had a little bit of time so went and looked at a few places and took some shots around her old stamping ground, Brighton of course, Crowborough and Bexhill on Sea, the house that she lived in was still there, the last place she lived before coming 'dahn under', before moving on to Chichester. Lovely it was April- May replete with Morris dancers on the Bank Holiday.
Hope everything picks up, Chris and Co, Melbourne.
I am hoping you are recovering and just wanted you to know that I am missing your pithy take on life and life matters. Please let us all know if there is anything we can do for you, as I am sure you have a legion of fans (yes we are all individuals).
No worries :) recovery is more important xx

ReplyDeleteGood to hear that you're doing okay.
ReplyDeleteSilence is always a worry.
Also having something to rail against is key - perhaps you need some hospital-meals-on-wheels delivered ;)
Hi XTM!

ReplyDeleteGood luck, hope the leg is still improving.

Your first priority should be YOU!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about not doing much blogging, you won't be able to much if you don't look after yourself.
Anyway, i've just read this and thought it might raise a smile elsewhere...

enjoy!
Hear you on the tired part XTM!!! I've *almost* completed a first full week back at work in about 14 months and am ready to sleep for a week.
ReplyDeleteRecovery is a long slow process, but progress is being made.
Look after yourself and keep up the blogging when you're up to it.

Afternoon ETM
ReplyDeleteWhat - no multi-tasking recovery option available - typical man!
Just teasing - best wishes from Cats' Mother x

ReplyDeleteDear ETM
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that and to have teased you.
Take good care and try to have a relaxing weekend - happy prawn Friday from the Chelsea Gang to Whisky.

No offence taken, Sarah. I'm the first to admit that I'm a typical man with very limited multi-tasking abilities. x
ReplyDeleteOuch!
ReplyDeleteHope that leg feels better quick smart.

That leg/body of yours definitely did not read the edict that you were suppose to be back running about by now!
ReplyDeleteTake care and hoping at least the weather is good enough to absorb some vitamin D.
