How on earth did anyone define that the stuff underneath used to be a chicken? For the religious, it's against God; for the rest, it's against nature.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3835152205968344114.post-22513268705813052902009-10-22T16:51:12.856+01:002009-10-22T16:51:12.856+01:00Those aren't tracks they're clawmarks. Some kind soul was hoping to arrange your lunch on a plate using creativity, thought and a few freshly steamed vegetables, and they dragged her away.

Or perhaps it's a rat's clawmarks. It was actually trying to get at the block of cheese waiting to be taken through to the staff dining room and it was hauled away by its tail.

Whatever it was on that plate looks highly dangerous anyway, and again, soft as sick. My Marmite on toast with a cuppa looks a lot nicer.

Interesting to read your thoughts on the reason behind the dire and bland quality of hospital food. Speaking (ahem) as a vegetarian I can say that you can stuff more flavour, interest and quality into a plate of soya mince than you can even hope to gain from a plate of the NHS caterers' finest.

What you're eating is pallid, boring, and likely to drive anyone into a decline after months of it. Do they honestly not see the correlation between appetising food and general perkiness in the mood department? Not to mention the fact that you'd have mended a whole lot quicker with a decent diet and they could have saved themselves a fortune overall if they'd fed you properly. Since the filthy lucre is what everything is based on these days in the NHS corridors of power you'd have thought they'd have grasped that.

Mind you, in general you're dealing with NHS management with no idea of what a patient looks like. 8-\Soozhttp://anaccumulationofsmallthings.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3835152205968344114.post-29570525153679978642009-10-22T16:48:57.266+01:002009-10-22T16:48:57.266+01:00Was the "pie" really that strange colour...Was the "pie" really that strange colour?
